Holi, Festival of Colors

Largest celebration in the Western Hemisphere? I did not realize the Indian Temple in Spanish Fork, Utah held such a title!

This is a beautifully edited video and captures the joy of this festival. I was there, we were smeared in rose-scented colors, and everyone was just so happy. Hari Krishna!

Here are some of my photos from the party.

  1. I like the new design of your blog! Yay! I'm so happy you posted this video of the Holi Festival of Colors. I've never been, but I've seen many photos on facebook. The video really gave a sense of what it feels like to be there. I like your flickr a lot by the way. When I get a chance, I'm definitely going to take my time going through all your albums. I like a lot of your photos and your style. I just added you as a contact. Hope that's ok.

  3. I was so there! I had never herd of this before my friend pulled me to it. It was amazing! Good food, colors being tossed, and an all round fun atmosphere. I came out of there with so many colors. Oh, and blowing your nose for a few days after is very entertaining. Definitly remembering a mask for next year.
